MOHAMMED MIRZA RIZKI. He was the 2nd. son of 5 brothers and 2 sisters, born in Delhi. His father, RIZQULLAH BAIG, who was a minister in the Indian Cabinet, was a direct descendant of the Moghul heirarchy of the sub-continent. Brought up in the traditional Nawab family where the emphasis was always on Islamic values, family tradition, cultural and educational importance, Mohammaed Mirza got his childhood and school education in Delhi and graduated from the prestigious Aligarh Muslim University.
He was selected as Regional Head in the Indian Railways. Besides serving in several districts, he stayed the most in Hyderabad, where he generally brought up his children. His youngest daughter, Rummana was born in Karachi

He took an active part in the Pakistan Movement and was a member of Muslim Legue, Hyderabad chapter and organized and took part in allmost all Quaid-e-Azam visits and addressess there.

Partition of the sub-continent and birth of Pakistan in 1947 brought a new begining. Mohammed Mirza, alongwith his family, brothers and sisters and wife's large family migrated. They travelled on the famous ship "DARA", which with its past outstanding sailing record, sank after this historical voyage.

The Mohammed's having left behind all their domain, land & wealth and many dear ones, started a new begining in Pakistan.Allah was kind. Mohammed Mirza was assigned for a very Senior Position in PIA, the new upcoming airline of the country.

Generally, a lot of compromises, adjustments and deviation from old principals posed challenges in the progress. Mirza faced them squarely, with his Faith and Descipline. Many close relatives were finding it hard to climb up the progress ladder, others were very successful. Independence and Free Islamic atmosphere was the most valuable blessing for all.
But Alla's wish and one's Fate are unalterd. Mohammed Mirza did not live long here to see much of his children's progress and prosperity. He passed away after a cardiac stroke and brief illness.

Hi ! I am Rummana. My elders call me "Fajjo' out of love.I am the youngest of my 9 brothers sisters. This is an effort by me to record my family history and the present.

Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.

On this page I'll provide a little information about who I am and what inspired me to do this research. Most of this information was probably obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible!

This is a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might be good to add.
